Local Radio Celebs To Host Toy And Food Drive

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - It's time to get in the holiday spirit and Stuff the Bus with Clear Channel. The 8th annual event benefits Toys for Tots, The Maryland Food Bank, and the Food Bank of Delaware.

You can spread the cheer this Saturday from 9 AM to 3 PM; just head out to Walmart in Seaford, Salisbury, or Berlin. The goal is to fill a full sized school bus with unwrapped toys, non-perishable food, and cash donations.

Local radio personalities will be broadcasting on location, who tell us it's a rewarding experience, "I always like it when the kids come with their parents and maybe the kids getting plenty for Christmas, and that opportunity to know, hey, not everybody has it as good as they have it. And to see the kids walk up on the bus and put the toy down and really gather an understanding of what it's all about is kinda the biggest take away we have, I think, on the day of this type of event," says Randy Scott of the "Whiskey & Randy" morning show on Froggy 99.9 FM.

Again, those drop-off locations are the Walmart in Berlin, MD on Route 50, Seaford, DE on Route 13, and the North Salisbury Boulevard Walmart in Salisbury, MD. For more information click here.
