Cambridge Police Seize Over A Pound Of Marijuana

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A Cambridge man is arrested on drug charges. Cambridge Police Department's Special Operations Division and Emergency Response Team searched a Robbins Street home in connection with an on-going drug investigation.

Police say at the residence they found 1 and a half pounds of marijuana, digital scales, packaging materials, and over $6,600 in currency. Police arrested 41-year-old Daryl Shields, and charged him with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance for drug distribution, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest and failure to obey a lawful order.

He is being held on $125,000 bond at the Dorchester County Detention Center. Police say that this isn't the first offence for Shields, he was also was arrested in August of 2011. Police say during that search they found more than 6 pounds of marijuana and more than $11,000 cash.
