VIENNA, Md., - A woman is accused of trying to kidnap a child from a local elementary school. According to the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, Suzanne Wright, 63, of Linkwood, called Vienna Elementary School on Monday, claiming to be the mother of a student.

School personnel apparently became suspicious after the caller asked for the 9-year-old student to be ready for pick-up at the front of the school. They reportedly contacted the students actual mother, who told them that she hadn't called, and that no one had permission to take the child from school.

When Wright arrived at the school, a deputy arrested her, and charged her with violation of the peace order, trespassing on school property, and attempted kidnapping of a child under 16 years old. Wright is being held on $100,000 bond. Police say that this was the second incident at the school involving the suspect, this year.
