Organization Starts 'Giving Tuesday'

WMDT 47 News - There's Thanksgiving for giving thanks, Gray Thursday, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday for getting deals, and now - Giving Tuesday for giving back.

The new campaign hopes to create a "national day of giving" at the start of the winter holiday season.

Charitable organizations across the country were hosting volunteer, social media, and online donation drives throughout the day.  Some of the local groups participating were Baywater Animal Rescue, Queen Anne's County Animal Services, and Assateague Coastal Trust.  To find out more, visit GivingTuesday.org
