VA Gets Federal Emergency Declaration From Storm

RICHMOND, Va. - President Barack Obama has signed a federal emergency declaration that Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell had sought from last month's hurricane.
    
The declaration signed Monday makes federal aid available to state and local governments and certain nonprofit groups to cover costs for emergency measures and debris removal.
    
The White House says the funding will be available in 25 counties and the independent cities of Fairfax, Falls Church and Manassas.
    
The counties are Accomack, Arlington, Clarke, Craig, Culpeper, Essex, Fauquier, Frederick, Greene, Highland, King and Queen, Lancaster, Loudoun, Madison, Mathews, Middlesex, Nelson, Northampton, Northumberland, Prince William, Rappahannock, Shenandoah, Surry, Warren and Westmoreland.
