Grant Will Boost Neuroscience Research At DSU

DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware State University is celebrating the largest research grant ever awarded to the historically black institution.
    
Members of Delaware's congressional delegation joined officials at the Dover campus on Monday to announce a $10.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to support the research and career development of neuroscientists at DSU and the University of Delaware.
    
The money will be used to establish a Delaware Center for Neuroscience Research at DSU in collaboration with UD.
    
Delaware State University will receive $7.3 million over five years, while the University of Delaware will receive $3.2 million.
