Dover Man Arrested On Drug Charges After Being Shot

DOVER, Del. - Police arrested a Dover man, on drug charges, shortly after he was shot. Dover Police say that they were at the Dover Inn, investigating the shooting of Michael Palmer, 25, after he had been shot in the left shoulder.

The officers were in the victim's hotel room, where they say they smelled marijuana. According to the report, they found 142 grams of marijuana inside Palmer's hotel room.

Palmer was taken to Bayhealth Medical Center, where he was treated for his gunshot wound. Police say that inside Palmers pants, two bundles of heroin, 19 doses of ecstasy, and $1560 cash were found.

Once he was released from the hospital, police arrested Palmer, and charged him with possession with intent to deliver controlled dangerous substance - tier 1, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on bond.
