FRUITLAND, Md. - Linda Lee Horseman Willey, 63, of Fruitland, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Howard Irving Horseman and Elizabeth Ann Jones Horseman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Tabernacle since 1970 where she loved her church, her church family and her pastor. She also deeply loved her husband, her children, her special "pumpkin", her siblings and her pets. She was an artist, a poet with probably over 1,000 poems and also an avid gardener. Most of her life she was a homemaker, but also worked years ago for Reads Drug Store and The Country House. She was a great example to others!
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Donald James Willey; 5 children, F. Matthew Willey of Ocean City, Jennifer Susan Bremner and her husband, Bryan of Panquich, UT, D. Gene Willey and his wife, Tina of Salisbury, Miriam Elizabeth Fields and her husband, Cliff of Eden and Tamara Lea Smith and her husband, Phil of Fruitland; 14 grandchildren, Erin, Matthew, Lindsey, Steele, Cody, Loni, Taylor, Briane, Nicole, Ashleigh, Alexis, Trey, Angela, Jessica and Zachary; 4 great grandchildren; a sister, Alice Mae Wheatley and her husband, Robert of Delmar, Irv Horseman and his wife, Barb of Baltimore and David B. Horseman and his wife, Linda of Chance; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrina Anne Willey.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle in Salisbury with Rev. Lou Bradley officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service and also from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday evening at Holloway Funeral Home. A luncheon will be served at 12:30 PM at the church before the funeral service. Interment will be at the Rock Creek Cemetery in Chance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Calvary Baptist Tabernacle, 337 Tilghman Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
