DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delawareans traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday might want to keep an eye out for runners participating in the Gobbler Gallop.
The Gallop is a charity fundraiser to benefit the Hole in the Wall Gang camps founded by the late Hollywood actor Paul Newman and serve terminally ill children.
Runners participating in the Gallop choose their own favorite running routes on race day, then log their runs, whether one-mile, 5K or half-marathons, online.
Those who register get shirts and bibs before race day, with prizes, medals and certificates awarded afterward.
The Gallop, which begins Wednesday and goes through Saturday, is part of the Holiday Hustle Series that includes an All Hallows Even Romp to coincide with Halloween and the New Year's Resolution Run.
