MARYLAND - The bell ringers have already kicked off their Red kettle Campaign, and you've probably seen them at your local Giant store.
WMDT has teamed up with the Salvation Army in the past and will do so again this year. However, they need more bell ringers to help man the kettle this holiday season, to collect your spare change and loose dollars. You time and money helps local families in need.
"The majority of it will go with our Christmas program. I think we've signed up just under 700 families this year so far, and we still have more coming in, and that will go to provide the food cars that we give out. Whatever is left over after Christmas helps with our direct assistance that we do for rental and utilities, food and clothing and all that through the rest of the year," said Major Brooks Gilliam of the Salvation Army.
