WICOMICO CO., Md. - A local ferry is re-opening, after being damaged by Superstorm Sandy.
Wicomico County Executive Rick Pollitt announced on Tuesday that the Upper Ferry has been re-opened. During the storm, officials say that the ferry house got flooded, which caused damages to electronic equipment.
Executive Pollitt, said "We realize the importance of the Upper Ferry to the community and have been working as quickly as possible to restore the service."
The ferry has since been repaired and is now back in working order.
