Woman Reportedly Fights Back During Salisbury Armed Robbery

SALISBURY, Md. - On November 18, 2012 around 8:34 PM, Salisbury Police officers responded to the Coin-Op Laundry in the 28000 block of Ocean Gateway in reference to an armed robbery that occurred in the parking lot.

The investigation revealed that after the female victim loaded clothes into the trunk of her vehicle, she was confronted by the suspect while seated in her vehicle.  The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money.  The victim began struggling with the suspect at which time the suspect dropped the handgun.  The suspect grabbed a purse containing currency and fled the area.

The suspect is described as a black, 20-year-old male, standing 5'06", who weighs 170 lbs.  The man was wearing a dark toboggan, dark hooded sweatshirt, and pants.
