Police Investigate Shooting In Milton

MILTON, Del. - Delaware State police are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning in Milton.

The incident occurred at approximately 1:20 a.m. when Troopers responded to Nika Lane, in the area of Martins Farm Road, in Milton, and discovered a 23-year-old male suffering from several gunshot wounds to the lower extremities.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he underwent surgery for his injures. His wounds are not considered to be life threatening. Detectives are continuing their investigation into this incident.
