CRISFIELD, Md. - Volunteers were out in Crisfield sorting through donations.
Volunteers were out at the Crisfield Church of God sorting through clothes, blankets, furniture and TVs. Organizers from Crisfield Relief tell us that donations have been coming from all over, including Baltimore and Virginia Beach.
Every donation will be going to residents with needs in the area.
"They lost everything, their dishes, their cups, appliances and their bedding their sheets," said Jackie Wheatley, Crisfield Donations Coordinator. "Our mission right now: we want everyone to have a nice Thanksgiving next week and we are working on Christmas and we want the children in our community to have Christmas."
Wheatley said that if anyone is interested in volunteering or adopting a family for the holidays to give the group a call at (410) 422-3361.
