December 3rd - Caroling On The Georgetown Circle

Posted: Updated:

GEORGETOWN, Del. - A local county government is hosting a food drive to collect items for local families. The Sussex County Government are hoping to make the holidays happier for those less fortunate in the community.

They've already kicked off their food drive, but are celebrating it on Monday, December 3rd at 6:30 PM, with Caroling on the Circle. The historic County Courthouse and Circle will be the backdrop for an evening of traditional and Spanish carols, along with a visit from Santa! Its free to attend, but participants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate.

After the festivities, there will be free cookies and hot chocolate, at the Georgetown Fire Company. Caroling will be held regardless of the weather. In the event of rain or snow, it will be moved inside to the fire hall on South Bedford Street.

The food drive has already started, items can be dropped off from now, until the end of December, at the County Administrative Offices, County Administrative Offices West Complex, and the Sussex County Airport Terminal. For more information call 302-855-7700.
