Harrington Teenager Accused Of Raping A Child

HARRINGTON, Del. - A Dover man has been charged after allegedly raping a child. Harrington Police say that the Division of Family Services contacted them about a sexual abuse complaint.

Officials say that the assault happened between December 2009 and January 2010 on Weiner Avenue in Harrington. The Department's Criminal Investigative Unit detectives say that Cody Hiester, who is 19 now but at the time of the alleged assault was 16, raped a 4-year-old child. According to detectives, this was a one time only incident.

Hiester turned himself in on November 15th. He was charged with 1st degree rape, and one count of endangering the welfare of a child. Hiester is being held at the Sussex Correctional Institute on $16,000 bond.
