UPDATE: Fifth Suspect Arrested In Crisfield Murder

CRISFIELD, Md. - Police have made a fifth arrest in the murder that happened last month in Crisfield.

Police say they arrested Elijah "Pooter" Gerald, 18, of Crisfield and charged him with 1st and 2nd degree murder in connection with the October 19th murder of Thomas Edwards. He was also charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment, dangerous weapon, accessory to commit murder, firearm use in a felony, and handgun on person. He is being held without bond.

Crisfield Police searched a William Maddox Road home, looking for a handgun that might have been used in the crime, and found a .22 caliber Smith & Wesson handgun.

They also searched a Charlotte Avenue home, where they found D'Vonte "Shrimpy" Gregory, 19, of Crisfield, sitting at the kitchen table. Police say that they found CDS, 92 grams of marijuana, reportedly worth $500, 2.1 grams of heroin, reportedly worth around $300, and $135 cash. They say that they also found a digital scale nearby.

Gregory was arrested and charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute, CDS possession, CDS possession of marijuana, and CDS possession of paraphernalia. Police say that the homicide investigation is still active and on-going.
