SALISBURY, Md. - A man has been arrested in connection with a September grocery store purse snatching. Salisbury Police have been looking into a September 25th incident where a woman's purse was taken, after she placed her groceries and purse in her car in the Giant parking lot on S. Salisbury Boulevard.
Police say that while she returned her cart, Gary Cannon, 47, of Salisbury, reportedly went into her car, and took her purse. Cannon then apparently used the victim's credit cards inside of the store.
Detectives identified Cannon as their suspect, and arrested him on November 9th. He was charged with rouge & vagabond, theft less than $1,000, theft scheme, and credit card theft. Cannon was released to the custody of Central Booking.
