SALISBURY, Md. – Delmarva Power's Emergency Services Partnership Program donated residential smoke alarms to the Maryland State Fire Marshal's office for distribution throughout Maryland's Eastern Shore on Tuesday.
The fire
marshal's office received 600 smoke alarms which have a 10-year, long-life,
sealed lithium battery. The company also donated 40 special needs smoke alarms
for the deaf and hard of hearing. The special needs alarms emit a bright strobe
light, as well as an extremely high volume audible alarm.
