OCEAN VIEW, Del. - Two people have been arrested in connection with multiple Sussex County burglaries that reportedly occurred over the last year.

During a traffic stop, an Ocean View Police Officer found the vehicle's occupants, to both be wanted. Both Jake Fox, 22, of Frankford and Heidi Hitchens, 24, of Dagsboro, were taken into custody. Delaware State Police then searched the car, where they apparently found items that had been reported stolen during burglaries in the area. Officials then started investigating a string of burglaries dating back to November 2011, where jewelry, electronics, cash, and prescription medications were taken from unoccupied homes, and sold to local pawn shops.

Both Hitchens and Fox was charged by State Police with 3rd degree burglary, possession of burglary tools, 2nd degree conspiracy, and theft of services. Hitchens was released on bond, Fox was held at SCI on bond.

After the investigation into the Southern Sussex County burglaries was wrapped up, Hitchens turned herself in, and was charged with 25 more offenses including 2nd burglary, felony theft, conspiracy, and criminal trespass. She was then released on bond. Fox was later additionally charged with 112 more counts including 2nd degree burglary, felony theft, conspiracy, and criminal trespass. He is now being held at SCI on $63,100 bond.
