OCEAN CITY, Md. - As the rebuilding and recovery efforts from Superstorm Sandy go on around Delmarva, there is good news for Ocean City. The pier so badly damaged by the storm will be rebuilt.

The private owner of the Ocean City Pier, Charles "Buddy" Jenkins, has committed to rebuilding the pier. The project is expected to be expensive but it should be done by summer.

The pier was badly damaged during Superstorm Sandy two weeks ago. A large section was completely destroyed, and the pilings that were left standing have since been removed.
