Pemberton Park To Host Turkey Trek 5K

SALISBURY, Md. - Before you sit down for that Thanksgiving Feast, maybe you want to go for a jog. The Thursday November 22nd, Thanksgiving Day, at 9:00 AM, Pemberton Park is hosting its 4th annual Turkey Trek 5K.

Participants will trek through the parks forests, meadows, and wetlands. It is a mostly flat course with a few small hills, making it perfect for all types of fitness levels. There will be awards given in seven different age groups, along with the runner with the best Thanksgiving costume.

After the race, refreshments, including pie and ice cream will be served.  Registration costs $20. You have until November 21st at 8 PM to register online, but runners can register at the park the morning of the event.

All proceeds from the race will go towards Pemberton Historical Park's Environmental Education Programs.
