Eastern Shore Classic Digs Up Over A Million In Local Revenue

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - For all you dog lovers out there - the 3rd Annual Eastern Shore Classic is now off and running!

Three local kennel clubs have joined forces to bring hundreds of dogs to the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center.  The shows starts daily at 8:30, and runs until 4:30 PM through Sunday, November 11th. This show apparently isn't just for the dogs, it digs up over a million dollars  in local revenue.

"We bring in the dog people, we bring in the motor homes, we bring in people who come in their cars. They stay in the local hotels, the restaurants are full because dog people do eat," Assistant Chairperson Barbara Paul said.

Tickets are $5 for adults, just a buck for students, and kids under the age of 5 are free.
