Glen Avenue Closed Wednesday Through Monday

SALISBURY, Md. – Glen Avenue, between Civic Avenue and St. Albans Drive, will close beginning Tuesday, November 7th at 7am and will re-open on Monday, November 12th.

This closure will allow safe crossing for the many participants and spectators attending the Eastern Shore Classic Dog Shows at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center.

Show organizers are anticipating more than 3850 dogs and over 3000 spectators and participants to be on hand. According to WYCC officials, attendees from 15 states will make their way to Wicomico County for this event.

The Eastern Shore Classic Dog Shows are sponsored by the Talbot, Mispillion and Salisbury Kennel Clubs. Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for students and children under 5 years of age are admitted free.  Call WYCC for group rates at 410-548-2110. This year's event is expected to have an overall positive impact of $1.17 million on the local economy
