Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS - A Berlin woman is reaching out to those effected by Sandy in Somerset County, and you can help too.

Lisa Dennis has set up a drop off center at the Ocean City Chamber Building, where supplies can be dropped off 7 days a week, from 8:30 AM until 4:30 PM.

Want to help but can't make it to the drop off point? Lisa will pick up your donations from you, just give her a call.

The following items are needed for donations:
· Bottled Water
· large containers of water
· baby wipes
· tooth brushes
· toothpaste
· towels
· toiletries
· juice boxes
· granola bars
· nonperishable food items
· Gatorade
· cleaning supplies
· heavy duty trash bags

When WMDT spoke with Lisa on Monday morning, she was in Wal-mart buying supplies with a $600 gift card that someone donated. All donated items will be transported and handed out in Somerset County.

Lisa is also looking for volunteers to lend a hand in Somerset County, with things like cleaning up, clearing debris, and helping homeowners.

If you have any questions or want to lend a hand contact Lisa Dennis at 443-880-2433, or email her at lisa@oceancity.org.
