WORCESTER CO., Md. - A Berlin man, and an Ocean City woman, were charged with heroin possession. A joint investigation into heroin in Worcester County lead the Worcester County Criminal Enforcement Team and the Ocean City Police Department Narcotics Unit to further investigate David Sturgill, 33.

They say that while under investigation Sturgill drove to Baltimore, with 24-year-old Lauren Johnson. Police stopped the truck, once it was back in Worcester County, and arrested Sturgill and Johnson. During the stop police reportedly found 105 individually wrapped bags of heroin, a digital scale, and various items of paraphernalia inside the truck. Officials then also searched Sturgill's Berlin home, where they say they found more paraphernalia.

Both Sturgill and Johnson were charged with possession of Heroin, possession with intent to distribute Heroin, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia - hypodermic syringe, possession of controlled Paraphernalia - hypodermic syringe. Sturgill is being held on $10,000 bond. Johnson is being held on $15,000 bond. Both are being held at the Worcester County Jail.
