FENWICK ISLAND, Del. - The clean up from Hurricane Sandy is only beginning.
"It's really bad and my neighbors are suffering," said Glenn Hessler.
Three days after Sandy, the State of Emergency was lifted Wednesday and residents of West Dagsboro Street came back home: to debris and newly-formed rivers.
"There was debris exactly like that all piled up all over here and in the backyard and we moved that to the dumpsters."
Most of the water has receded, but Hessler's Halloween scare was seeing his crawl space filled with two and a half feet of water. Over the next 36 hours, he began cleaning it out.
"We've taken all of the water damaged articles out of the garage, out of the house and general area and moved everything."
Hessler said he has never seen a storm like Sandy hit Fenwick Island.
"Never, never had close to this. The worst I've ever seen was four-years ago during a Nor'easter. Water came up and touched the corner of my house and then it went back. The rest of the street was under water but this is by far the worst I've ever seen."
But he admits his house is far from the worst.
"I'm the only lucky one on this block and I'm almost embarrassed because of it."
