MILFORD, DEL. - Milford Police are playing catch-up after Sandy put a halt in their homicide investigation.

Investigators are hoping to get justice for 28-year-old Carlton May Junior of Lincoln. A bystander called 911 Friday evening, to report a body lying in a parking lot near the Mispillion Apartment Complex. Autopsy results revealed May died of a gunshot wound. Police say they've been working day and night, but the storm set them back.

"It actually has hampered us in many aspects, and one of them is tracking down various witnesses and just making contact with local residences, in regards to this investigation," said Detective Dwight Young.

Police say May frequented the Milford area and was well known in the community. If you have information that could help this case, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-tip-3333.
