SALISBURY, Md. - Jonathan David Bowers, 50, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury. Born in Elkins, WV, he was the son of Kay Harrison of Laurel, MD & John Harrison of Glen Burnie and the late Charlie Morlan Bowers. Johnny worked as an elevator mechanic for Thyssen-Krumpt Elevator Corporation and a member of Elevators Construction Local 10. He was the owner of a race car, "77" Little Lincoln Stock Car, that was driven by his best friend, Michael Warshaure at the Delmar International Speedway.
He is survived by his fiancée, Amy Christine Henderson and their son, David Christopher Bowers; a son, Jonathan Eugene Bowers and his wife Carrie of Westover; a daughter, Jessica Bowers of Pittsville; 2 grandchildren, Georgia and Jadelyn Bowers; a brother, Frankie Bowers of Laurel, MD; and a sister, Debbie Peterson and her husband, Chris of Elkins, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Earl Sheats will officiate.
