WMDT 47 News - Although Hurricane Sandy set back early voting, Governor O' Malley issued an order to extended early voting hours.
Voters can vote Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 AM to 9 PM. Wicomico County voters should go to the Civic Center, Dorchester County voters can vote at the county office building, and Somerset County voters should go the the county office building in Princess Anne. Early voting in Worcester County has been moved to the government building in Snow Hill.
"We do anticipate longer lines than usual. But again, we highly recommend that people consider early voting because definitely on election day, Tuesday November 6th, they will certainly encounter long lines. And I think that's due to all the ballot questions. So the more prepared a voter is to come in and vote their ballot, the better off they'll be," Wicomico County Elections Director Anthony Gutierrez said.
Wednesday is the last day to submit an application for an absentee ballot in Maryland. Election offices are open until 8PM. For Delaware residents, absentee ballots have to be submitted by 8 PM on Election day. Those in the 1st state can still pick up a ballot -- or fill one out in person -- all this week.
