US Airways Resumes Flights From Wicomico Airport

SALISBURY, Md. - As the area bounces back from Sandy, US Airways has opened flights in and out of Wicomico airport.

Tuesday morning, they flew an 11:50 am departure to charlotte, which was the only one they flew.  There was also a 9:50 pm arrival from Charlotte to Salisbury.

They have been positioning aircrafts all day and into Tuesday night to resume a normal schedule Wednesday.


Customers are still advised to call US Airways in advance to check on the status of their flight. 

After an airfield inspection Tuesday morning, no visible damage was seen at airport nor phone calls from tenants about problems.
