CRISFIELD, Md. - WMDT has received an update on the current condition of Crisfield.
Much of the area saw more than 5 feet of water, heavy winds and rain, and downed trees. Residents were ordered to evacuate their homes. According to local officials more trucks and humvees were brought in to take residents to a nearby shelter.
Emergency crews continue to evacuate most of the city, including Somers Cove Apartments and Cove Street. So far, hundreds of Crisfield residents have been rescued.
It is still unknown how much the storm will cost in regards to property damage.
