REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Like many other areas in Delaware, Rehoboth Beach was no safer. Earlier this afternoon, the waves on the beach were crashing down close to the boardwalk and sand dunes.
There were 40 mile per hour winds there, and heavy rain. High tide is expected around 8:11 p.m., where we could see 9 foot waves.
However, businesses boarded up long before Sandy's arrival. They've laid out sandbags, reinforced windows, and even left some pretty comical messages for sandy. One reads "Dear Sandy, take it easy, the customers need their Fish and Chips."
In that area, they expect up to eight inches of rain, with 12 inches possible in other isolated areas.
