Important Information from Bayhealth Regarding Hurricane Sandy

WMDT 47 NEWS - Kent General and Milford Memorial Hospitals, began advanced preparations for Hurricane Sandy last week. Additional supplies such as water, linens, medications, food and fuel were delivered to the hospitals in order to provide for any patient needs during the storm. The Emergency Department, Operating Rooms and Labor & Delivery, in addition to all inpatient services, are fully staffed and ready for any emergency before, during and after the storm. 

Bayhealth - Kent General and Milford Memorial announce some cancellations for the safety of our patients and staff. Please review the information below as it may impact you.

Surgery

Elective surgery, cardiac catheterizations and endoscopies previously scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, October 29 and 30, 2012 are cancelled.

 

Staff and Community Classes

All employee and community classes are cancelled for Monday and Tuesday, October 29 and 30, 2012. Participants should call the Education Department later in the week to reschedule. The number is 302-744-7135.

 

Outpatient Services

All Bayhealth outpatient centers and satellite facilities will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, October 29 and 30, 2012.  This includes the following locations only:

  • Outpatient Center, Kent General and Milford Memorial (only outpatient services are closed.)
  • Outpatient Center, Eden Hill
  • Outpatient Center, Dover
  • Outpatient Center, Harrington
  • Outpatient Center, Milford
  • Outpatient Center, Milton
  • Outpatient Center, Smyrna
  • Lifestyles Fitness Center, Dover and Milford
  • Middletown Medical Center
  • Women's Center, Dover and Milford
  • Wound Care Center, Dover
  • Sleep Care Centers

To reschedule outpatient tests, please call 302-744-7235 in Dover or 302-430-5707 in Milford.

 

Physician Offices

Physician offices that are part of Bayhealth Medical Group will also be closed Monday and Tuesday, October 29 and 30, 2012.  This includes:

  • Bayhealth Cardiology Consultants, Dover and Milford
  • Bayhealth ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat)
  • Bayhealth Family Medicine, Dover, Milford, Harrington and Georgetown
  • Bayhealth Gastroenterology
  • Bayhealth General Surgery, Dover
  • Bayhealth Internal Medicine, Harrington
  • Bayhealth Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Bayhealth Neurosurgery, Dover
  • Bayhealth Pain Management, Dover
  • Bayhealth Women's Care, Milford
  • Bayhealth Orthopaedics, Dover
  • Bayhealth Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Lewes

To reschedule your appointment, please call your physician's office after Wednesday, October 31.
