DELAWARE:

Sussex County:

  • Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, pet friendly
  • Milford Middle School, 612 Lakeview Dr.., Milford, pet friendly
  • Indian River High School, 29772 Armory Road, Dagsboro. No pets.

Kent County:

  • Dover High School, 1 Patrick Lynn Drive, Dover, pet friendly
  • The Kent County SPCA and Delaware Animal Care and Control have extended emergency sheltering at co-located American Red Cross Shelters at Smyrna Middle School, Dover High School and Milford Middle School through to the end of Wednesday.  As a result, the main shelter in Camden will not be open to the public until Thursday morning at 10:30am.

New Castle County:

  • William Penn High School, 713 E. Basin Rd., New Castle, pet friendly

MARYLAND:

Caroline County:

  • Colonel Richardson High School
  • Goldsboro Volunteer Fire Company
  • If you need transportation to the Emergency Shelters, please call 410-479-5885.

Dorchester County:

  • Cambridge South Dorchester High School
  • North Dorchester Middle School

Queen Anne's County:

  • Kent Island High School 
  • Centreville Middle School

Worcester County:

  • Snow Hill, Md. - People who have special health needs such as oxygen greater than two liters per minute or the need for ongoing medical monitoring may be eligible for a medically fragile shelter. To find out more call the Worcester County Health Department at 410-632-1100 option 8. People evacuating to community shelters are reminded to bring their prescribed medication with them. All medication must be administered by the individual or his or her caregiver.

    LAUREL, Del. - A house went up in flames Saturday morning, just off of Rt 13 in Laurel. Luckily...it was just a training exercise.A rep from the Laurel fire department told 47 ABC, the landowners called the department to help them get rid of the house, which was far beyond repair.
