PRMC Hurricane Sandy Weather-Related Closings

SALISBURY, Md.  - A list of Peninsula Regional Medical Center Hurricane Sandy weather-related cancellations/closings/postponements. Peninsula Regional Medical Center has closed some of its locations. Check the list to see if any effect you.

We have an update to share on our Island Family Medicine Peninsula Regional Medical Group (PRMG) office in Chincoteague, Virginia.

Due to electrical issues (no power), the Island Family Medicine office will not reopen on Wednesday, October 31. We'll continue to monitor the situation in Chincoteague and will update you as we can.

Practice patients requiring medical attention are asked to visit the PRMC Emergency/Trauma Center in Salisbury.

All other PRMG family medicine and specialty care offices in Maryland and Delaware will reopen on Wednesday.

Peninsula Regional Medical Center expects to return to normal operations with all services open and available to the public on our Salisbury, Maryland campus on Wednesday, October 31.

Our Peninsula Regional Medical Group (PRMG) network of family medicine and specialty practice offices also plans to reopen on Wednesday, October 31. However, we are currently assessing the status of our Island Family Medicine Office in Chincoteague, Virginia and will report back on its planned reopening date later today.

Outpatient Lab Services is closed and ALL Elective Surgeries at PRMC have been cancelled for Tuesday, October 30.  Peninsula Regional will continue to be staffed and prepared to provide care for our inpatient population, any surgical emergency needs or any emergency care needs of people arriving through our Emergency/Trauma Center during these times. 
 
All Peninsula Regional Medical Group family medicine and specialty offices will be closed Tuesday, October 30 with the exception of medical oncology and outpatient infusion, both located at PRMC in Salisbury. 
 
Peninsula Breast Center at PRMC will be closed on Tuesday, October 30.
 
Thoracic Oncology Service at Peninsula Regional Medical Center will be closed on Tuesday, October 30.
 
Radiation Oncology Services at the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute at PRMC will reopen at Noon on Tuesday, October 30.
 
PLUS Volunteer Services is closed on Tuesday, October 30.  PLUS Volunteers are asked not to report to PRMC.
 
The Peninsula Wound and Hyperbaric Center at Peninsula Regional Medical Center will be closed on Tuesday, October 30.
 
Cardiac Rehab will be closed on Tuesday, October 30 at both the Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Berlin Office locations.
 
Outpatient Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy at PRMC will be closed Tuesday, October 30.
Diabetes Education Program appointments and Medical Nutrition Therapy Services have been cancelled on Tuesday, October 30.

Thoracic Oncology Service at Peninsula Regional Medical Center will be closed on Tuesday, October 30.

PLUS Volunteer Services is closing on October 29 effective 1:00 p.m. and will also be closed on Tuesday, October 30.  PLUS Volunteers are asked not to report to PRMC.

All elective procedures at Peninsula Regional Medical Center have been cancelled beginning at 3:00 p.m. for the remainder of October 29 and also the entire day on Tuesday, October 30.  Peninsula Regional will continue to be staffed and prepared to provide care for our inpatient population, any surgical emergency needs or any emergency care needs of people arriving through our Emergency/Trauma Center during these times.
