Young Girl Dies After Being Shot In Home In Accomack Co.

ACCOMACK Co., Va. - A young child has reportedly died in Accomack County.

A 10-year-old girl was reportedly shot Thursday night at a home on Saxis road. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered that the child had sustained a gun shot wound to the body. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. An autopsy is being conducted by the medical examiner's office in Baltimore. This is an ongoing investigation, however the death appears to be accidental.
