SEAFORD, Del. - The City of Seaford is monitoring and preparing for the approaching storm.
They say that crews were out all day on Friday, removing leaves, tree limbs, and other debris. Officials are asking residents to hold off on putting any more leaves on the curb, until after the storm. The piles hinder the drainage system, making it hard to keep up with rainfall.
911 should only be used for emergencies, storm related call should be directed to City of Seaford after hours line at 302-629-4550. Crews will be ready, during the storm, to deal with downed lines and outages, when its safe.
City officials are asking residents to bring inside, or secure outside objects like lawn furniture and trash cans.
Residents are also being advised to prepare emergency kits with water, food, and medications. For more information on what should be in an emergency kit, check out ready.gov or the American Red Cross website.
