The Show Must Go On At Heron Ponds

Posted: Updated:

DELMAR, Md. -- Despite Sandy inching closer to Delmarva, the show must go on at Herons Ponds.

Officials are hoping the second time is a charm for country music star Kellie Pickler.

Friday, Eve 6, Everclear, and Kings Foil are hitting the stage at 7.

Then Saturday Kellie Pickler is back in Delmar, after her first show was rained out. WMDT was out as they were setting up the stage this afternoon, and officials say they don't plan to cancel the show.

"If it comes a life safety issue for the attendee's we have to cancel at that point but no we would never cancel because keep in mind these guys all get paid Kellie gets paid so it's rain or shine," owner Doug Marshall tells WMDT.

Right now they are hoping for 5,000 likes on Facebook. They are almost there, Marshall says they have 4, 100.

Once they reach their goal they plan to go ahead with measures to build an 18 thousand square foot building including a stage that can seat 60 thousand people.

Tickets for the shows this weekend are just 15 bucks.
