HEBRON, Md. - A Hebron man was arrested after allegedly assaulting a State Trooper. Maryland State Police arrived at the East Walnut Street home, around 1:20 AM on Thursday, they say they found Samuel Russ, 23, outside, yelling loudly.

Troopers say they tried to calm Russ down, but he wouldn't relax. Police say that during the verbal altercation, Russ shoved a Trooper, while lunging at the homeowner.

The Trooper's investigation revealed that Russ had assaulted the homeowner before the Troopers arrived. Russ was arrested and charged with 2nd degree assault of a police officer, 2nd degree assault, and disorderly conduct.
