Local Facilities Purchased Drugs From NECC

Posted: Updated:

FAMILY HEALTH - We now know that nine facilities on Delmarva have received medication from the company reportedly at the center of the fungal meningitis outbreak.

The New England Compounding Center in Massachusetts is now under investigation for sickening hundreds. PRMC and Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin are among the facilities, which both bought medication from this facility, but have since gotten rid of them. The medication purchased was not the steroid shot in question.

Other facilities include Atlantic Plastic Surgery, Ability Rehab Associates, Berlin Interventional Pain Management, the office of Dr. Kevin Thomas, Peninsula Eye Center, Peninsula Orthopedic Associates, and Salisbury Foot and Ankle. We're told the FDA ordered all hospitals and clinics to get rid of any medication purchased at NECC.
