SALISBURY, Md. - It's almost time for Pemberton Elementary's Harvest Festival Dinner and auction, but the PTA needs your help. They are asking for everything from monetary donations to auction items for the November 9 event. Organizers say it's their biggest fundraiser of the school year and the money raised goes straight back into the school. Teachers are able to make requests for money from the PTA.
PTA President Harold Cyr Jr. says, "The budgets are very tight you know, with all the cutbacks. We are very much helping foster the enrichment portion, to give kids something to look forward to."
The event will be held November 9 at 5:30PM in the Pemberton Elementary Gymnasium. Dinner will be provided by Taylor's BBQ. There will be live, silent and children's auctions. Proceeds go to benefit the Pemberton PTA.
If you have an item to donate for auction, you can drop it off at Pemberton Elementary or call 443-523-6616. You can also head out to Wendy's on North Salisbury Boulevard Thursday October 25th and November 1st from 5-8PM. Officials will be there collecting donations, plus Wendy's is donated 20 percent of all sales made during that time period to the PTA.
