John A. Matlosz

MILLSBORO, Del. - Mr. John A. Matlosz, of Millsboro, DE, formerly of Marlboro, NJ, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012. He was 77 years old. John was born on June 18, 1935 in Elizabeth, NJ to the late John A. and Mary Vasilerich Matlosz. He was a retired firefighter with the City of Elizabeth New Jersey Fire Department.  He also was a member of Mary Mother of Peace and St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church, a US Army Veteran,  member of AMVETS Post 2 and the American Legion Post 4.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maureen Matlosz; daughter, Maureen Jane Hervold and her husband Glenn; son, John A. Matlosz and his wife Cheryl; son, James A. Matlosz; sister, Marianne Gershon; four grandchildren:  Christie, Chelsea, Kate and Conner Matlosz.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE  19966, where friends may call after 1:00 P.M.  Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE  19963 or to a charity of your choice in John's Memory.
