Dover Armed Robbery Suspect At Large

DOVER, Del. - A suspect is wanted after allegedly trying to rob a local food store. Delaware State Police say that on Monday afternoon, a little before 2:30 PM, a man armed with a handgun, walked into Mike's Food Mart on South Governors Avenue, and demanded money.

According to the report, the 36-year-old store clerk, started to fight the suspect, and at one point, the suspect hit him over the head with the gun. The suspect then fled from the store, towards Webbs Lane, without getting any money. The victim did not request any medical attention.

The suspect is described as a 5' 7" - 6' tall, black male, weighting between 160 and 190 pounds, with an average build. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, while armed with an unknown type of handgun.
