SALISBURY, Md. - Students and professors of Salisbury University, along
with members of the agricultural industry talked about the future of the
Eastern Shore.
The Maryland Humanities Council and Pace hosted a
dialogue about the environment, asking members from the different
communities to come together and discuss possibilities to help move the
shore forward.
"People really want to come together and
talk about their differences of opinion perhaps on how land is used on
the shore and what we can add about water quality," said Phoebe Stein Davis, the executive director of the Maryland Humanities Council.
Organizers also say they want the conversations to
continue after the event, in hopes to seek the best possible ideas for
land use, water quality and quality of life on the Eastern Shore.
