Man Struck Near Delaware State University

DOVER, Del. (AP) - A pedestrian is in critical but stable condition after being struck by a vehicle near Delaware State University in Dover.
    
Police in Dover say they were called to the site of the accident at 7:09 p.m. Saturday. Police say the pedestrian was walking westbound on North Dupont Highway when he was struck. Police say the man attempted to avoid being struck by one vehicle and jumped into the path of another car.
    
Police say the man suffered a head injury, a broken leg, broken ribs and bruised lungs.
    
Police did not release the man's name.
