UPDATE: Suspect Arrested In Trailer Park Murder

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police now have Joshua Cathell in custody.  He has been charged with 1st Degree Murder and Posession of a Weapon During the COmmison of a Felony.  Cathell was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center without bail.

According to police, at approximately 10:30 a.m. October 20th, Cathell walked into Troop 3 near Dover after learning he was being sought for questioning in the suspicious death of a male victim in Oak Grove MHP.

Detectives learned through the investigation that Cathell had shot the victim one time in the head and then drug him into a bedroom.  Cathell then fled the scene in the victim's vehicle which was later found abandoned in Rodney Village Shopping Center.

The victim, who has been identified as Isidro Vasquez Hernandez, had not been seen since Monday October 15, 2012.  A concerned friend responded to the trailer on Friday evening to check on Hernandez.

When Hernandez did not come to the door, he called 9-1-1.  Troopers responded to the trailer and upon checking the residence through windows of the house, they discovered what appeared to be blood on the walls and floors.  Forced entry was made into the residence and the troopers discovered Hernandez deceased on a bedroom floor.
