SALISBURY, Md. - Once again, WMDT sits down with a local participant, walking to end Alzheimer's next weekend.
Russell Houseal and his wife Carol have been married for almost five decades. In recent years, she was diagnosed with a form of dementia, that affected her language, behavior, and memory. Russell says Carol is now in her final stages, and it hasn't been easy. Just like thousands of others, he's hoping one day there will be a cure.
"People will hopefully find their source to get through it. Mine was faith in God, our family is a big help, you got to get through it," said Houseal.
If you want to join in on the walk, there's still time to register or get a team together. It's being held on Saturday October 27th. Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the walk is at 10.
