PRINCE GEORGE, Va. (AP) - A 12-year-old Prince George County boy is missing after he fell into a quarry pond and didn't resurface.
Police and rescue crews suspended a search for the boy Tuesday night. The search will resume Wednesday morning.
Police tell media outlets that the boy fell into the pond at a Vulcan Materials quarry Tuesday while playing with two 13-year-old children. The other children tried to rescue him but couldn't reach him. They then ran home to get help.
The pond is 16 feet deep and the water is about 45 degrees.
Family members identified the boy as 12-year-old Clacy Sullivan.
