WMDT 47 NEWS - Americans spent more money shopping last month.

A surge that reflects growing consumer confidence. Retail sales jumped 1.1 percent in September, producing the best two months of sales in two years.  

Meanwhile, us companies are restocking their shelves at a solid pace. Companies usually boost their stockpiles when they anticipate an increase in sales in the coming months.
